I am pleased to offer a 2-week follow-up period after each Initial and Follow-Up Lactation Appointment. We will schedule a 20 minute phone call within the 2 weeks following your appointment to review together your care plan and your progress.
Initial Lactation Appointment
Up to 60 minutes, virtual (video) | $165
A comprehensive appointment to assess and address any infant feeding challenges or questions you may have, including:
Difficulty latching
Sore nipples
Fussiness or sleepiness at the breast
Concerns about baby’s growth/weight
Supplementing with expressed milk or formula
Problems with pumping
Concerns about tongue-tie or lip-tie
What “normal” infant feeding looks like
Creating a plan for returning to work outside the home
I will take a thorough health and feeding history and assist with latching technique, pumping, and/or bottle feeding as needed. A detailed plan of care that works for you and your situation will be provided.
Follow-Up Lactation Appointment
Up to 60 minutes, virtual (video) | $110
Up to 30 minutes, phone | $55*
This appointment is a follow-up to an initial/previous appointment that was completed with me either privately or at Kindercare Pediatrics. This appointment can be helpful in the days, weeks, and even months following an initial appointment if feeding challenges are still ongoing, new concerns or questions have come up, or if a little more support and encouragement is needed as your feeding experience progresses.
We will discuss updates to your feeding situation, any new concerns, and revise your care plan as needed.
*A phone follow-up is best suited to those with minor questions/concerns; more time may be required, depending on your needs.
Additional time can be added to any appointment – $55 per 30 minutes.
In the case of multiples (e.g. twins), add $50 to the above Lactation Appointment fees (and 30 minutes of time) for each additional child.
Prenatal Appointment
Up to 60 minutes, virtual (video) | $90
I will take a thorough history regarding your health, pregnancy, and previous infant feeding experiences. We will discuss what to expect in the first days of lactation and how to optimally latch your baby and manage feedings, as well as any specific concerns you have around feeding your baby.
This appointment is ideal for expecting parents and those interested in lactating for an adopted baby or baby being born by a same-sex partner or gestational carrier (surrogate).
